Anna McKeever is an Irish artist based in Belfast. Anna combined work and travel for ten years before coming home to Belfast in 2016.
Anna is Predominantly a palette knife painter. Her work is powerful and unapologetic. Texture and bold colours create a grittiness and energy that draws you in. She is inspired by both urban and rural Ireland; and her work is a celebration of the spirit and warmth of the Irish landscape and its people. This spirit is reflected in the paintings. They are purposefully unpolished and raw.
The salt of the earth.
Anna’s Studio/Gallery is located on the Ormeau Road in Belfast. It is a working studio, and the pieces are available for public viewing on Fridays 2-6pm and Saturdays 11-3pm.
We at MORE Architecture love Anna’s work as it has the ability to grab your attention and further pull you into a space. Great for a feature wall where you need to add interest, colour and texture.
The subject matter ranges from urban to rural landscapes and picks up on the typically unseen beauties that surround us.
